Mission accomplished: skating in a ship!
21st of December 2007, Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro
Dock Camorim, in Niterói, in Rio de Janeiro, awoke with unusually different winds.
Four skaters from Brazil and Chile, after an almost impossible mission, fulfilled their dreams of skating on the deck of a ship. The stunt was part of the Red Bull Access All Areas, which has passed through countries such as Colombia, Austria and Italy this year, and now at its last edition of 2007, once more took skating to an unimaginable place.
Using barrels, ropes and ramps the Brazilians Rodrigo Maizena, Daniel Marques, Thyago Ribeiro and the Chilean Spiro Razis created the most unusual obstacles and turned the Satro 25, a 54m long tugboat, into a dream skate park. Built in 1980, the tugboat is docked in Ilha da Conceição, in Niterói and, for the enthused athletes; it was the perfect setting for an intense day of skating!
